Die Firma ABF Architekturbüro Fabini wurde im Mai 1990 gegründet. Ursprünglich war sie ein Kleinunternehmen - eine Form von Privatunternehmen, die damals nach der Wende von 1989 möglich wurde - und ab 1991 eine GmbH ( rumänisch SRL). Inhaber der Firma sind Alida und Hermann Fabini. Sie hat ihren Sitz in Räumen im ersten Stock des Kirchenhauses Wiesengasse (Tipografilor) Nr. 12. Schwerpunkt der Tätigkeit sind vor allem denkmalpflegerische Restaurierungsprojekte; unsere Firma hat aber in den letzten Jahren zunehmend auch Neu- und Industriebauten geplant. *text & foto

Proiectul Ambulanţa pentru monumente inițiat de către un grup de iubitori ai patrimoniului și derulat de către Asociația Monumentum îşi propune să acţioneze eficient în domeniul salvgardării patrimoniului imobil prin punerea în siguranţă a unor obiective de patrimoniu importante aflate în stare avansată de degradare din sudul Transilvaniei, până când acestea vor putea fi restaurate. Pentru obţinerea unor efecte pe termen mediu si lung , proiectul işi doreşte o mai bună implicare a societăţii civile şi creşterea societăţii filantropice din România pentru prezervarea patrimoniului imobil.Astfel, regula după care funcționează proiectul este simplă: acolo unde există cel puţin un sprijin pentru achiziţionarea materialelor necesare punerii în siguranţă, „ambulanţa” și voluntarii se vor ocupa de punerea în siguranță a acelui obectiv. Der Verein „casApold“ wurde 2007 in Trappold gegründet und hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, sich aktiv in die lokale und regionale rumänische Zivilgesellschaft einzubringen und sie im gemeinnützigen und nachhaltigen Sinne mitzugestalten. Dabei stehen Aktivitäten, die zur Verbesserung des Bildungs- und Kulturangebotes auf dem Land beitragen, im Vordergrund. Seit der Gründung wurden außerschulische Bildungsprogramme für Kinder und Jugendliche durchgeführt, u.a. eine tägliche „After-School“ (Hort) seit 2009 eingerichtet und Umweltcamps organisiert. Casa Paleologu has always been a privileged place of intellectual discussions and friendships. The house on 34, Armeneasca str. was built in 1932 by Mihail Paleologu and Emilia, his third wife, after they were forced to sell the old tall house on Paleologu street, erected during the first half of the 20th century by the serdar Nicolae Paleologu, the son of the “medelnicer” Mihail Paleologu. The house on Armeneasca street is a comfortable bourgeois building in the cubist style of the 30s, but the furniture and the atmosphere bear the mark of aristocratic manors. *text & foto

Zweck unseres gemeinnützigen Vereins “churchfortress e.V. Friends of Hundertbücheln - Movile “ ist auf der einen Seite die Erhaltung des architektonischen Erbes der einzigartigen Kirchenburgen in Siebenbürgen und ihrer ganzen¬ Ensembles sowie der charakteristischen Kulturlandschaft und der mittelalterlichen Dörfer. Auf der anderen Seite versucht der Verein Impulse zur Entwicklung einer auf regionalem Maßstab basierenden und kleinräumig strukturierten Wirtschaft in einer der ärmsten Regionen unserer Europäischen Union zu setzten. Dabei steht die Stärkung und Bewahrung des zum Teil nach wie vor bestehenden traditionellen Handwerks und der nachhaltigen kleinbäuerlichen Bewirtschaftung im Vordergrund. Viele - aber natürlich nicht alle - der internationalen Mitglieder des Vereins (aus Deutschland, England, Rumänien, Slowenien, Ungarn, Österreich und Bayern) haben ihren beruflichen Hintergrund im Fachbereich der Landschaftsarchitektur und versuchen, ihre ökologische und ästhetische Ausbildung zum Wohle des Dorfes Hundertbücheln / Movile und auch anderer Transilvanischer Dörfer einzusetzen. Als Planer und Planerinnen sehen wir den besonderen Wert einer kohärenten und integrativen Landschaft und sind in der Lage, das alltägliche Leben der Menschen durch den Dreiklang von Architektur, Naturschutz und Freiraumplanung langfristig zu verbessern. Darüber hinaus ziehen wir für jedes unserer gemeinschaftlich organisierten Projekte weitere regionale aber auch internationale Experten und Expertinnen aus Handwerk, Denkmalschutz, Architektur, Ökologie, Landwirtschaft , Produktdesign, Regionalentwicklung, Kulturwissenschaften und lokalen Initiativen hinzu, um eine an die Bedürfnisse der Lokalbevölkerung angepasste Entwicklung des Lebensstandards in der Jahrhunderte alten Kulturlandschaft erreichen zu können. *text & foto

The Viadrina builds bridges – not only across the River Oder by forming numerous intensive partnerships with universities and institutes in Poland but also by reaching out beyond our region to Central and Eastern Europe as well as to France. It also has more than 250 partner universities worldwide. At the same time, the Viadrina has strong roots in Frankfurt (Oder) and regards itself as a partner for the region, promoting the spirit of enterprise and civil society.

Fundația ADEPT, founded in 2004, is a biodiversity conservation and rural development NGO based in Saschiz, Romania. ADEPT has been working for the last 14 years to protect the nature-rich, farmed landscapes of Transylvania and to support the traditional farming communities who have created them over centuries and who maintain them today.  Our aim is to give these landscapes and communities an economic future and relevance in the 21st century without sacrificing their sustainability and productivity. These landscapes are in fact an important model more widely in Europe.  Fundația ADEPT is carrying out an integrated programme linking economic and social benefits with biodiversity conservation, and raising local capacity for good management in the future.  Some of Europe’s most important high nature farmed landscapes are found in Romania, especially Transylvania. They provide high productivity and high local employment, and other important benefits for the wider European public.

Die Michael Schmidt Stiftung ist eine Non-Profit Organisation, die im Jahr 2010 von Michael Schmidt, dem Inhaber der Automobile Bavaria Group gegründet wurde und welche sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, die siebenbürgisch-sächsische Kultur in Rumänien zu erhalten.  Des Weiteren unterstützt die Michael Schmidt Stiftung Projekte, die das deutschsprachige Bildungswesen in Rumänien fördern. Auch kulturelle und humanitäre Projekte werden mit Priorität unterstützt und wir konnten in den letzten Jahren schon dutzende solcher Projekte verwirklichen, über die Sie hier mehr erfahren können.  Wir sind sehr stolz, dass wir gemeinsam mit anderen Stiftungen aus der Region, die ähnliche Interessen verfolgen, die Haferland Kulturwoche ins Leben rufen konnten. Diese hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, das Kulturgut der Siebenbürger Sachsen zu fördern und bei internationalen und rumänischen Touristen bekannt zu machen. Die Veranstaltung findet jedes Jahr im August statt und zieht tausende Besucher an. Die daraus resultierenden Einnahmen gehen direkt an Projekte, die zur Förderung der Entwicklung der Region dienen. 

The Deutsches Kulturforum östliches Europa (German Culture Forum for Central and Eastern Europe) was founded in Potsdam on December 19, 2000, as a non-profit organisation. This institution is financed by the Federal Government's Commission for Cultural and Media Affairs, following the policy of research and presentation of German culture and history in Eastern Europe. The organization's members and sponsors are juristic persons from cultural and academic fields.

Many of the ICon Arts students along the years have gained international reputation. After many editions, some of them return in our community as ICon Arts teachers, mentoring the new generations.

Die damit verbundenen Auseinandersetzungen um verschiedene Nutzungsansprüche an den Boden, die Natur, Gebäude, Anlagen oder Finanzmittel schaffen Anlass und Arbeitsfelder für die Stadt- und Regionalplanung. Das Institut für Stadt- und Regionalplanung (ISR) an der Technischen Universität Berlin ist mit Forschung und Lehre in diesem Spannungsfeld tätig. *text & foto

The “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urban Planning in Bucharest is the oldest and most important academic institution in this field in Romania. It continues a long tradition of local architectural higher education, the foundation of which is closely linked with the rise of modern Romania and the setting of its new institutional structure and culture, during the second half of the 19th century.
